Our Approach to Training

At Build Two Win Performance, we develop every program from a comprehensive, total-body approach to athletic development. Every new athlete begins with a movement assessment—either through a dynamic warm-up screen or a full integrated movement analysis—to identify restrictions, compensations, and areas for improvement.

From there, we design training that builds strength, speed, and power while prioritizing injury prevention both in practice and in competition. Our long-term athletic development model ensures athletes build steadily and safely, setting them up for consistent growth over time.

  • Strength: Athletes learn the foundations of resistance training, developing a solid base of force production and stability.

  • Speed: Training emphasizes both linear and multi-directional speed, along with deceleration mechanics, to maximize quickness and control.

  • Power: Plyometric drills and medicine ball training enhance explosiveness for sport-specific performance.

We also understand that athletic development doesn’t stop with speed and strength. Mobility, stability, and soft tissue health are critical parts of our system—helping athletes move better, recover faster, and compete at their best.

At Build Two Win, our goal is simple: develop faster, stronger, and more resilient athletes, built to win on and off the field.

Purpose

Our Story

Build Two Win Performance was founded by Coach ZaQuan Irby with a mission to help young people and athletes achieve their fitness, athletic, and personal goals. What began as a way to provide athletic training soon grew into something bigger—a platform to teach life skills and empower athletes to reach their full potential.

Coach Irby recognized that many kids are influenced by tough environments or misguided friendships. Through training, he began teaching essential life skills such as self-awareness, communication, decision-making, leadership, concentration, confidence, time management, teamwork, and resilience. Over time, he realized these lessons weren’t just for athletes—they were skills everyone could benefit from, regardless of background.

Our Mission

At Build Two Win, the mission goes beyond sports. Athletic development is paired with mentorship and personal growth, helping young people understand their worth as individuals beyond their athletic abilities. Too often, athletes struggle to identify themselves outside of sports, which can create challenges later in life.

That’s why the name is Build “Two” Win—we are not only building the athlete but also building the individual. By focusing on both performance and personal development, we are creating stronger athletes and stronger people, ready to win in sports and in life.
