Our Approach to Training

At Build Two Win Performance, we don’t guess—we assess, we build, and we develop with intent.

Every athlete starts with a movement assessment. We identify limitations, imbalances, and poor movement patterns right away—because if you don’t fix how an athlete moves, you limit how they perform.

From there, everything is structured and progressive. No random workouts. No wasted reps. Every session has a purpose tied to long-term athletic development.

We train athletes through a complete system:

Strength
We build real strength—not just weight room numbers. Athletes learn how to produce force, control their body, and develop stability that carries over to sport. This is the foundation of everything we do.

Speed
Speed is a skill, and we coach it that way. We develop acceleration, max velocity, and multi-directional movement with a focus on mechanics, intent, and efficiency. We also train deceleration—because the ability to stop and control your body is just as important as how fast you can go.

Power
We train explosiveness through jumps, throws, and plyometrics that directly transfer to sport. The goal isn’t just to be strong—it’s to apply that strength quickly and efficiently.

But performance isn’t just about output—it’s about durability.

We place a heavy emphasis on mobility, stability, and tissue health so athletes can:

  • Move efficiently

  • Reduce injury risk

  • Recover faster

  • Stay consistent over time

Because availability is part of performance.

Everything we do is built around one principle:
Long-term development over short-term results.

At Build Two Win, we’re not just trying to make athletes better for today—we’re building athletes who can continue to improve, compete, and stay healthy over time.

Purpose

Our Story

Build Two Win Performance was founded by Coach ZaQuan Irby with a mission to help young people and athletes achieve their fitness, athletic, and personal goals. What began as a way to provide athletic training soon grew into something bigger—a platform for teaching life skills and empowering athletes to reach their full potential.

Coach Irby recognized that many kids are influenced by tough environments or misguided friendships. Through training, he began teaching essential life skills such as self-awareness, communication, decision-making, leadership, concentration, confidence, time management, teamwork, and resilience. Over time, he realized these lessons weren’t just for athletes—they were skills everyone could benefit from, regardless of background.

Our Mission

At Build Two Win, we don’t just train athletes—we build complete individuals.

Performance matters. Speed matters. Strength matters. But none of that means anything without discipline, accountability, and confidence behind it. That’s where we separate ourselves.

Too many athletes tie their identity strictly to their sport. When the game is taken away—injury, graduation, or life—they’re left without direction. We don’t allow that.

Everything we do is built on a standard:

  • Show up with intent

  • Work with purpose

  • Be accountable

  • Grow every day

The name Build “Two” Win isn’t just a concept—it’s the foundation of how we operate.

We are building:

  1. The athlete — speed, strength, movement, performance

  2. The individual — mindset, discipline, resilience, confidence

Because the truth is:
Athletics will eventually end.

Who you become will not.

Our responsibility is to make sure every athlete who comes through Build Two Win leaves better prepared—not just for their sport, but for life.
